Believe and You Will See

End Binge Eating Newsletter
Dear friends,
In this week’s newsletter I want to talk about affirmations.
So often we are taught that "seeing is believing" because when you see someone accomplish something, then you can start
to believe in that ability. We all need evidence. It’s essential for us to believe.
However, it is different with affirmations.
The opposite is actually true. "Believing is seeing". Affirmations work because you believe first and then what you want will
start to manifest itself in front of your eyes. Sounds easy enough, right?
The problem most people have is the "believing" part. If you don’t believe what you are saying, it is very unlikely that you will
manifest what you really want. You have to boldly declare your affirmation and you must have conviction when doing so. Conviction is the
missing link between saying what you want and actually getting what you want.
I have received so many emails from many of you telling me that you feel silly when saying affirmations and that you just don’t
believe what you are saying because it seems so far from the truth. A good example of this is with the affirmation "I have a healthy
relationship with food". Many of you struggle with this because you know how often you binge and that this affirmation seems quite contrary
to what is true.
When I first began to say affirmations, I felt some internal resistance as well. I almost wanted to laugh when I said "I have a
healthy body". I knew that was so far from what was true. I just want to share with you on how I got over this obstacle and started to
believe my affirmations.
I read somewhere that you should try to express thanks after you say an affirmation. Saying the words "thank you" after you state
your affirmation reinforces the belief that the Universe has already began to fulfill your desire. Of course, you will not see what you are
declaring in full at the present time, but knowing that it is in the works will make you believe that what you just asked for is already
done. This will give you a sense of hope that what you desire will eventually come full course.
Try saying a single affirmation for a week and end it with "thank you". See if assuming an attitude of gratitude after affirming
what you want helps you in the believing process. Say it as long as you need to, believe me, you will start to believe it then. Once you
believe, the magic will unfold.
I believe in you!

P.S... Below are a couple wedding photos. I'll share more with you soon!
